Luke Anear, founder and CEO of workplace safety software startup SafetyCulture, has poured his time into producing The New Hustle.

Townsville startup SafetyCulture has today announced a $30 million Series B round led by international venture capital firm Index Ventures. The investment comes as the second largest funding round secured by an Australian tech startup this year, following a $41 million raise by BigCommerce in June.

Townsville tech company SafetyCulture has announced that it has secured $6.1 million in its oversubscribed Series A round of funding – most of the investors in this round are existing shareholders. The latest round brings the total amount of funds raised by the startup to just under $11 million, with investors including Bill Tai, Blackbird Ventures and Farquhar, who is also a backer of Blackbird.

The growth of the iAuditor, SafetyCulture’s flagship smartphone app in the beginning was organic and viral, garnering hundreds of thousands of downloads and at the time, and was being used over 25,000 times a day by workers right across the globe.
