Mackay coworking space Split Spaces has this week announced the launch of the Business Booster program to give four local startups six months of support.
Startup Mackay has today announced a raise of $15,000 to fund its second startup weekend on November 18-20. The combined investment from the Queensland Government, Mackay Regional Council and the Bank of Queensland will be used to fund up to 50 percent of total activity costs throughout the weekend.
Advance Queensland and Business Models Inc have partnered to design an innovation ecosystem for Regional Innovation Hubs. A total of $7.5 million has been raised to strengthen links, interaction and engagement across Queensland’s network of regional hubs.
Mackay has secured its first coworking hub, Split Spaces and with just under 1,000 square meters of space is set to become Queensland’s largest regional innovation hub. Split Spaces is being supported by a Federal Government grant, Woollam’s Construction and Porters and is planning to open the space to entrepreneurs later this year.
