Over seven years working in real estate, Andy Sheats became increasingly intrigued by the number of startups that were overlaying online business models onto traditional industries. In 2012, he decided to forge his own startup path and tread into the $20 billion private health industry. The result is Health.com.au.
The night had its fair share of glamour, modesty, humour, and maladroit. The 2013 Telstra Australian Business Awards was held at the posh Star Event Centre in Pyrmont, and would be best described as the business version of the Logies.
In just 15 months since its launch, Health.com.au has experience phenomenal growth. Their disruptive approach to product, process and service has seen the company sign up over 40,000 members and deliver revenues of AUD$46M in their first year of operation.
