Startup GiggedIn launch a world first marketing initiative in the Music space for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus

Aussie promoters, Kingdom Sounds, have teamed up with ticketing platform, GiggedIn, to bring American rock band ‘The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ to Australia using a crowd sourced touring concept, which could soon be the new way International acts are toured around the country… and the world.

Music fans in regional towns and smaller state capitals have always suffered from international acts only playing in big cities which has left dedicated fans needing to travel long distances to see their favourite bands.

The new “Choose Our Adventure” tour concept, will give fans the power to bring The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus to their hometown, through six city-vs-city battles.  In a world first, the band will play six shows but the fans choose where; pitting cities against each other such as Hobart vs. Perth, Newcastle vs. Central Coast and Toowoomba vs. Gympie.

Locations are determined through the website where fans ‘pledge’ to buy a ticket online and are only charged if their city wins.  In each battle, the winning location is decided by the highest number of pledges within the deadline of Thursday 8th August.

“We jumped on this innovative concept because it gives fans the opportunity to show how much they love and how much they really want Red Jumpsuit to come to their hometown.” said Laurie Mahon, lead promoter at Kingdom Sounds. “I’m hoping some of the underdog cities like Gympie win, but in the end it’s up to the fans to decide.”

Already 3,000 people have engaged with the campaign since the band leaked details of the tour early on their Facebook page.

“Music is about the fans and GiggedIn is about giving them the power to make shows they want a reality. This will be the first time fans have complete control over bringing an awesome international act like Red Jumpsuit to their hometown and I can’t wait to see which towns fight the hardest to come out on top” said Edwin Onggo, founder of GiggedIn.

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are returning to Australian shores launching their new  ‘Et Tu, Brute?’ EP and fans can start supporting their hometown by pledging tickets online from 9am Tuesday the 9th of July at
