The Brown Bag Lunch Challenge

TimbrE is a social enterprise café aimed at facilitating links between local communities in the developed and developing world; while providing an opportunity for youth at risk to gain hospitality experience and training. Timbre Café is all about developing initiatives that build service or giving into things we do and purchases we make everyday.

Timbre Café is set to launch its 2013 Brown Bag Lunch Challenge this week and is asking Sydneysiders to take the challenge and feed ONE Tanzanian family in 2013.

Each Brown Bag Lunch purchased from Timbre Café includes a Sandwich, Brownie, Juice and a morning coffee. But, on top of that it feeds ONE family with a World Foodbank food basket for ONE day.

Nikki James, Founder of Timbre Café Says “The Brown Bag Lunch Challenge is simple, ONE Brown Bag Lunch feeds ONE Tanzanian family for ONE day.”

“ So, if eight people take the challenge of eating ONE Brown Bag Lunch each week in 2013 together they will feed ONE family.” she says

The Brown Bag Lunch Challenge is a great CSR opportunity for businesses or something a group of friends can do to give back this year.

Each team that signs up for the Brown Bag Lunch Challenge on the will receive a challenge calendar to track their progress over the year with a running total and leaders board on display at Timbre Café.
