Accelerating Innovation: Power of the Crowd
Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (EST)
There is an increasing recognition and appreciation for the power of the crowds to solve problems, make decisions, leverage knowledge and talent, and predict the future. Organisations, individuals and even governments are crowdsourcing everything from design, marketing, administration, raising money and even tapping into the wisdom of the crowd for their strategies.
When done well, the crowd can be a powerful driver of innovation. Some call this “crowd-accelerated innovation” and we’ve seen this at a large-scale level like Wikipedia and the Human Genome Project. In this panel discussion, we’ll hear from thought-leaders and entrepreneurs who have successfully harness the power of the crowd to drive innovation.
As we become more interconnected, the ability to harness the power of the crowd will become even more profound.
Each panel will deliver a 5 minutes lightening talk to inspire and supercharge the crowd before we dwelve into a facilitated panel discussion, followed by Q&A.
The panel will consists of:
Rick Chen is the Co-Founder of Pozible, Australia’s first and largest crowdfunding platform.
Tom Amos is the Co-Founder of Sidekicker, a crowdsourcing platform for small jobs and errands.
